In this post, we will be analyzing the Samsung Galaxy tab A8 price in Nigeria after it’s review. Though this tab was first launched in 2021 but it’s still worth it in 2023, So let’s go ahead and get started. You can check its specs in tab above or it’s price in other countries.

Samsung Galaxy tab A8 Unboxing: what’s in the box?

When you open the box of this galaxy tab A8 10.5, you will get the tablet, a USB cable, Wall charger, usual Quick start guide and a Warranty card. Now let’s go to it’s design.

Galaxy A8 10.5 Tablet Design

I’ve got sort of mixed feelings on this tablet because it does have a lot of things going for it. The galaxy A8 has got a headphone jack, a decent sounding speakers that are going to be louder than most others in Nigeria on this price range especially if you can get this tablet on sale.

I’ve seen it on sale several times, but there are a few things to consider build quality on here is decent considering the price maybe a tad heavier and thicker than the flagship Galaxy Tab S8. The tab is available in colors like; Gray, Silver and Pink Gold. The Samsung Galaxy tab A8 in Nigeria is the same for all these colors.

Display of this tablet

The A8 tablet has a 10.5 inch display 1200 by 1900 resolution which in my opinion it’s not quite as good as some others out there like some options from Lenovo or even the previous Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 as far as viewing angles or just how good the display looks in general for some reason you can only watch Netflix in SD playback resolution on the version that I’ve got.

But the display does seem bright enough for indoor use 1080p resolution for YouTube videos and the display seems bright enough for indoor use with the screen quality overall is probably just good enough for most people.

Camera quality of the Galaxy A8 tab

The Samsung Galaxy tab A8 comes with two single cameras, 8MP rear and 5MP selfie Which is manageable. These cameras on here are what you would expect on a cheaper tablet probably wouldn’t be my first choice if I had to do zoom meetings or video cameras calls are probably just good enough to use if you had to. You’ve got these eight megapixel rear facing camera five megapixel on the front and then up to 1080p resolution for video recording.

Samsung Galaxy A8 performance: Software and processor

And then the software on here is a little bit different has been updated since I first got it is currently on Android 12 One UI 4.1 left to the homescreen you’ve got the Google discovered news feed or Samsung free it has kind of feel and look a lot like other Samsung tablets.

Its Chipset is the Unisoc Tiger T618 (12 nm), which it comes with CPU Octa-core (2×2.0 GHz Cortex-A75 & 6×2.0 GHz Cortex-A55) and GPU Mali G52 MP2. Actually, in terms of playing games this tablet will support some games comfortably but it is not a device that anyone should be considering getting if they want high-performance and quality gaming. Playing games on here like asphalt nine pubsey Mobile this tablet seems to perform okay.

You can also connect a keyboard and mouse to this but don’t expect great performance, most tablets in Nigeria on the same price range can’t perform more than this tablet. Again, this is entry level performance is really made for doing more basic things in my opinion. If you’re wanting to draw or take notes with an S Pen, you’ll probably use tablets like the S8.

This should be good for watching movies or shows maybe doing some light gaming or if you just need something to browse online, or maybe do some reading this tablet should be fine for those types of things. And the plus side to choosing something like this tablet over some of the others is going to be software updates.

Samsung has quickly become one of the best or providing the longest amount of software support and updates were some of the other companies out there definitely need to improve in that area.

Hardware performance: Storage and battery

The battery life on here is actually pretty good. A little above average lasting over seven hours in my battery drain test. Depending on what kinds of stuff you’ll be doing. You should be able to get through the entire day of normal usage.

Coming to memory capacity of the Samsung Galaxy A8 tab, this tablet comes in 32GB ROM & 2GB RAM, 32GB ROM & 3GB RAM, 64GB ROM & 4GB RAM, 128GB ROM & 3GB RAM andb128GB ROM & 4GB RAM. If you go for the lower memory, you will be limited on how much stuff you can store in this tablet.

Samsung Galaxy tab A8 price in Nigeria

Coming to Samsung Galaxy tab A8 price in Nigeria will continually vary according to places and time. That is why I do give the price of gadgets in a range form.

No matter your location in Nigeria, even if it is Lagos, Enugu, Anambra, Port Harcourt, Aba or any other City. You will get this Tablet between the range of NGN 250,000 to NGN 300,000 for its new.

Pros

1.Affordable Price Point

  1. Presence of Unisoc Tiger T618 Chip
  2. Dolby Atmos Speaker
  3. Premium Build Quality
  4. Inclusion of a Headphone Jack
  5. Software and Security Support

Cons

  1. Unimpressive Display Panel
  2. Unsuitable for Power Users

Final Verdict

The Samsung Galaxy tab A8 is a great tablet for its price range. It is advisable to go for higher memory option if you can afford them. Always make enquiry in your local phone dealers as prices can change over night.

But currently the Samsung Galaxy tab A8 price in Nigeria is still within the range of NGN 250,000 to NGN 300,000, it will always be cheaper in Lagos if you are living close to the state get it there.
